Position Title: Delivery Officer (Lagos)

As we expand our customer base, we are seeking a reliable and courteous Delivery Officer (Dispatch Rider) based in Lagos to ensure the timely and safe delivery of our memory products to clients across the city.

The Delivery Officer will be responsible for delivering Inked Memory products, such as journals and books, to customers, vendors, and partners across Lagos in a timely and professional manner.

The individual plays a critical role in ensuring an excellent customer experience, protecting the quality of our products during delivery, and upholding the brand’s values in every client interaction.

The ideal candidate is punctual, familiar with Lagos routes, and committed to service excellence.

Delivery & Logistics Coordination

• Safely deliver packaged products to customers, retail partners, and vendors across designated Lagos routes.
  
• Collect products from the office and ensure secure handling and accurate delivery based on client addresses.
  
• Use maps, GPS, or delivery applications to optimize routes and improve delivery timelines.
  

Customer Interaction & Brand Representation

• Communicate politely and professionally with clients during delivery.
  
• Collect acknowledgements, verify details upon handover, and ensure a positive customer experience.
  
• Serve as a brand ambassador by maintaining a clean, professional appearance and friendly demeanour.
  

Maintenance & Reporting

• Maintain the assigned delivery bike in good condition and report faults or required maintenance promptly.
  
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and daily routes.
  
• Provide timely updates to the operations team and escalate delivery challenges when necessary.
  

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• On-Time Delivery Rate: Percentage of deliveries completed within expected timelines.
  
• Delivery Accuracy: Number of successful and error-free deliveries.
  
• Customer Satisfaction Score: Feedback and experience from delivery interactions.
  
• Route Optimization: Ability to choose smart, traffic-free, and efficient routes.
  
• Bike Maintenance Compliance: Timely reporting and upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
  
• Professional Conduct: Courteous and consistent client engagement.

Education & Certification

• Minimum of SSCE — Senior Secondary School Certificate.
  
• Valid rider’s permit and driver’s licence.
  
• Familiarity with Lagos roads and traffic regulations.
  

Experience

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in dispatch, delivery, or logistics roles in Lagos.
  
• Experience with mobile delivery applications or tracking tools is an advantage.
  
• Prior work with courier services or customer-facing delivery is a plus.

Working Conditions

• The role is based in Lagos, with deliveries expected across the mainland and island.
  
• Core hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility.
