Role Overview
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing budgets, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and generating reports to support financial health and compliance. This role requires organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a creative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain financial records, ledgers, and journals according to accounting standards.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely vendor/staff payments.
- Monitor cash flow, manage petty cash, and complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports: monthly, quarterly, and annual.
- Support budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with PAYE, VAT, and company tax filings.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
- Support audits, grants, and financial reporting for donors and partners.

- Accuracy and timeliness of financial records
- Delivery of scheduled financial reports
- Budget adherence and cost control
- Compliance with tax and statutory filings
- Audit readiness and documentation quality
- Vendor and payroll payment timelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- ICAN/ACCA part or full qualification is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho Books).
- 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in creative or SME environments.

Working Conditions
- Location: Lekki, Lagos (1 remote day/week optional)
- Working hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- May involve evening/weekend work during audits or deadlines
